Staff Electrical Engineer - Nuclear Power - Toronto (Markham)

The Opportunity

Electrical Engineer – Nuclear Power Systems. This full‑time, contract‑hire position supports the global nuclear program at Black & Veatch and is located in Markham, Ontario, Canada. The incumbent will function as a Technical Specialist or Project Lead, providing guidance and expertise over project teams in the design and operation of nuclear plant facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop design change packages and deliver electrical drawings such as one‑line and three‑line diagrams, motor schematics, breaker control schematics, wiring diagrams, and power cable sizing schedules.
• Perform complex engineering calculations, including load flow, short circuit, motor starting with ETAP or SKM, arc‑flash analysis, protective relay settings, and battery and charger sizing.
• Prepare equipment specifications, bills of materials (BOM), man‑hour budgets, and project schedules.
