Site Inspections & Risk Management
- Conduct detailed Job Safety Analysis (JSA) for tasks such as transformer installation, cable pulling, and switchyard gantry erection.
- Manage and audit Permit‑to‑Work (PTW) systems to ensure all personnel have proper authorization before entering energized zones.
- Strictly enforce Lockout‑Tagout (LOTO) procedures to ensure equipment is de‑energized and safe for maintenance or installation.
Technical Safety Oversight
- Ensure all tools and PPE (arc‑rated clothing, insulated gloves) meet voltage requirements and are properly tested.
- Verify temporary grounding is correctly applied during construction to prevent accidental energization.
- Oversee shoring and underground utility detection for heavy trenching during substation grounding grid projects.
Training & Compliance
- Conduct site‑specific safety inductions for all contractors and visitors.
