Sr. Backend Software Eng. (contract)

Responsibilities

• Design and implement clear, scalable APIs and backend services that power core claim workflows
• Partner cross‑functionally with Product, Operations, Data Science, and Engineering teams to define requirements, develop technical designs, and deliver high‑quality features from concept to production
• Write clean, well‑tested code and contribute to a culture of engineering excellence through thoughtful code reviews and shared best practices
• Instrument and monitor services to ensure reliability, performance, and observability in production

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend software development experience
• Proficiency in one or more backend languages such as Kotlin, Java, or Python
