The Audiologist is responsible for delivering comprehensive audiology services across the lifespan, with a focus on elderly patients with hearing loss and auditory-related disorders. Working within a multidisciplinary team and reporting to the Head of NHG Health Centre, the role provides coordinated, patient‑centred care in a community health setting.
Clinical Duties (80%)- Conduct audiological assessments, diagnostic tests, and aural toilet procedures, and determine appropriate diagnoses and treatment plans including hearing aid fitting and prescription.
- Provide counselling and guidance to patients and their families on hearing and communication management, including tinnitus counselling and vestibular testing where required.
- Deliver preventive services and community clinic consultations, referring patients to additional medical services as necessary.
