Position Summary
Under the direction of the Regional Manager Allied Health, the Speech‑Language Pathologist (Adult) (SLP‑A) is responsible for the coordination and provision of Speech‑Language Pathology services to clients in facilities and communities within the Interlake‑Eastern Regional Health Authority (IERHA). In collaboration with the multidisciplinary team and external agencies, the SLP‑A is primarily involved in assessment, intervention, planning and implementation of a program for the client, discharge planning and follow‑up of referred clients. The SLP‑A is also involved in education of clients, family, other health care staff and auxiliary staff regarding speech‑language treatment, client health management, and preventative techniques.
