About the Role
The Specialist, Logistics will assist in developing, maintaining, and reporting logistics expenditures and performance. The incumbent will perform the day-to-day functions for processing incoming and outgoing shipments from a documentation, customs and transportation perspective and be familiar with shipping and receiving practices to support the measurement and improvement processes for that function.
What You’ll Do
- Select, contract and execute cost effective and timely transportation requirements and prepare appropriate customs documentation and shipping information.
- Arrange outbound/inbound shipments via transportation methods such as air, train, truck and ocean dependent upon cost and delivery requirements.
- Monitor shipment status and provide regular updates internally and externally for inbound and outbound shipments.
