Specialist, Asset Accounting

The position holder is responsible for the execution, compliance and maintenance of Asset Accounting related standards, processes and procedures as part of the GBS service portfolio (in close cooperation with GBSC Ingelheim, Local and Corporate Finance). The role supports the GBS Deployment Team during the implementation of new countries/entities being integrated into GBS, including conducting end‑user trainings and testing. Additionally, the holder performs Asset Accounting and CapEx‑related periodic routines for GBS legal entities.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform Asset Accounting processes and ensure compliance across all served GBS legal entities.
• Capitalization, sale, disposal, and modification of assets.
• Asset retirement by scrapping.
• Plan, perform, and monitor month‑end closing procedures such as depreciation runs or sub‑ledger to GL reconciliations.
