About the job: Sous Chef (Hot & Cold Kitchen)

Job Purpose:

The Sous Chef is the second-in-command in the kitchen and plays a critical leadership role in ensuring smooth daily operations. Supporting the Head Chef, the Sous Chef oversees kitchen staff, ensures food quality and consistency, and upholds hygiene and safety standards. This role requires strong leadership, technical skill, and the ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise the entire kitchen operation in the absence of the Head Chef.
  2. Oversee the preparation and presentation of all food, ensuring high-quality standards are met consistently.
  3. Lead, coach, and develop the kitchen brigade, including Chef de Partie, Demi Chef, Commis, and stewards.
  4. Ensure proper food storage, labeling, rotation, and waste control.
