Responsibilities
- Lead a software team that develops software using the KnowBe4 Software Development Lifecycle and Agile Methodologies
- Own the messaging and events platform including high-throughput email delivery and outbound channel integrations
- Manage people leadership including hiring, performance conversations, and career growth
- Drive technical communication through design docs, RFCs, and architecture reviews
- Recommend solutions to engineering problems and manage roadmap planning and dependencies
- Oversee delivery reliability, observability, and idempotency for messaging systems
Requirements
- Prior individual contributor experience in messaging, eventing, or platform engineering
- Production experience with Go (Golang)
- Familiarity with the Rust async ecosystem (tokio, axum, reqwest, serde)
- Experience with email infrastructure (AWS SES, SMTP, SPF, DKIM, DMARC)
