Job Description

Software Analyst Intern – 12‑month internship at Hitachi Rail Canada, Toronto office. The role supports the Vital Software Engineering team, analyzing, developing, and testing safety‑critical rail software.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow company processes for developing safety‑critical rail software.
• Assist with software development and algorithm implementation for safety‑critical systems.
• Develop software tools and scripts to enhance the CI/CD pipeline by migrating solutions to the generic Hitachi Rail CI/CD pipeline.
• Develop fitness testing (Python, C, wiki) within the CI/CD context for safety‑critical software based on requirements.
• Document software solutions on the company wiki.
• Create metrics and dashboards for management reporting.
