To work with students, families, school staff and communities to support students to optimize their learning, achievement and well‑being. To honour diversity, different ways of knowing and help build an inclusive and safe environment for students, caregivers, families and staff.

Social workers are clinically supervised by the board Mental Health Lead, and fall under the management of the Board Psychologist/Manager of Student Services.
