It has over 600 inpatient beds across specialties such as Medical, Surgical, Pediatrics, Women’s Health, and Critical Care. PLC serves as the vascular centre for Southern Alberta, Southwestern Saskatchewan and Southeast British Columbia.

Role Summary

Under general supervision from the Social Work Manager, the Social Worker II will provide clinical social work services primarily to inpatient units, with coverage across Emergency Department, maternity/pediatrics units, critical care, and outpatient clinic areas. Services include advanced level assessment and treatment such as psychosocial assessment, counseling, case management, discharge planning, and related tasks required by the caseload.
