Social Emotional Learning Teacher Role

Make a difference as a Social Emotional Learning Support Teacher at Annapolis Valley Regional Centre for Education. This 0.75 FTE position focuses on student well-being and mental wellness initiatives.
This term role runs from November 12, 2026, to July 31, 2027. You will implement the Well Being and Mental Wellness Plan for the school, assess student and staff needs, and facilitate classroom presentations. Collaborating with teachers and community partners, you will advocate for students while supporting their transition and career planning.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement the Well Being and Mental Wellness Plan
• Organize and deliver the Student and Staff Needs Assessment
• Conduct presentations on transitions and social-emotional needs
• Advocate for students within the school and community
• Support mediation and restorative practices as needed
Requirements:
• Valid Nova Scotia Teachers License
