Site Waste Operative / Recycling Operative

Axil are looking for a Recycling Operative to join our team at one of our customer sites, playing a key role in managing and processing waste streams safely and effectively.

You’ll be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a rotating forklift and other handling equipment, processing a variety of waste streams in a busy, confined environment. You’ll take pride in maintaining a well‑organised waste compound, building strong relationships with customer contacts, and constantly looking for ways to improve how we work.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a rotating FLT and manual handling equipment to sort, bale and compact waste
• Manage recycling streams, processes and standards within the on‑site compound
• Carry out daily pre‑use checks on all machinery and vehicles
• Ensure recycling is correctly segregated and stored in line with Axil and site procedures
