Sign and Traffic Marking Installer (Full-Time)

POSITION SUMMARY

Under the direct supervision of the Supervisor Maintenance Operations Roads, and the technical direction of the Leadhand while performing Equipment Operator IV duties, installs and maintains traffic control signing, street name signing, pavement markings, and barricading.

MAJOR TASKS

• Installs and maintains traffic control signs, and street name signs.
• Installs and maintains traffic control pavement markings.
• Installs and maintains traffic control barricades.
• Carries out the duties of an Equipment Operator IV, as required.
• Compiles time sheets and records information.
• Attends safety, and traffic control seminars.
• Arranges for underground utilities locates and ensures clearances prior to erecting sign posts, etc.
• Performs such other related duties as may be assigned.
