The Service Worker in the Orthopedic Surgery Centre Surgical Suite is integral part of a multi-disciplinary team that provides support for a fast paced, 4 theater Operating Room, for arthroplasty, urology, bariatric and general surgery procedures. Primary responsibilities include patient transportation, cleaning and restocking of the operating rooms, and the safe handling of medical equipment and sterile products but are not limited to: Assists nursing and medical staff with lifting and positioning of patients.
Assists with special procedures as directed such as holding limbs for prepping and cast application, supporting patients in position for the administration of spinal anesthesia. Transporting patients to and from the department both before and after surgery.
Assemble OR tables for specific surgical procedures under the direction of the surgeon and nursing staff. Handling and restocking hospital equipment and supplies. Delivering spec...
