Senior Transmission Planning Engineer

Shift work and up to 24 months temporary assignment.

Responsibilities

• Lead or contribute to the development of bulk transmission plans, regional plans, and special purpose plans ensuring reliable performance of the transmission system.
• Project‑manage the development of plans and planning products, including documentation of objectives, outcomes, deliverables, milestones, and schedules.
• Maintain familiarity with load‑flow simulation, economic evaluation, risk evaluation, and electricity resource modelling tools used for transmission system assessment.
• Participate in economic evaluation of options for meeting reliability needs as a transmission‑planning subject‑matter expert.
• Guide and improve planning processes, procedures, tools, and assumptions; provide quality assurance and quality control.
