Senior Trailer Technician

Qualification

• Matric or equivalent NQF 4
• Relevant Trade Qualification (e.g. Diesel Mechanic, Fitter, or Heavy Vehicle/Trailer Technician Trade Test) or equivalent demonstrated competency

Requirements

• Extensive experience (10 years+) working on heavy vehicle trailers, with specific experience on modular/abnormal load trailers (e.g. Goldhofer) preferred
• Proven track record diagnosing and repairing hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, steering, and structural trailer systems
• Experience working in a trucking, transport, or abnormal load industry workshop
• Knowledge of health and safety, environmental, and quality standards relevant to trailer maintenance and repair
• Technical skills: in-depth knowledge of trailer systems and components - hydraulics, steering and self-tracking axles, suspension, braking, electrical systems, and structural components, particularly on Goldhofer modular trailers ...
