Senior Structures & Payloads Design Engineer

The Opportunity
We are seeking a talented Structures & Payloads Design Engineer to support a world class airborne surveillance, communications and battle management system, the E-7A Wedgetail. This role involves collaborating as part of a multi-disciplinary design team to develop and deliver both major and minor capability upgrades, spanning from concept stage through to aircraft in service.
The role can be based in Brisbane, Williamtown, or Adelaide.
Responsibilities will include:
* Work as a senior member with the team; leading, guiding and mentoring junior engineers.
* Provide technical leadership in planning and execution of multiple projects, within the domain of aerospace mechanical/structural design.
* Develop modification & installation designs for equipment in a mid-service life aircraft fleet. Produce engineering artefacts to define design definition, engineering analysis and justification, certification evidence, and modification instructions.
