Senior Staff Accountant

Core Accounting Knowledge Requirements

• Sound accounting fundamentals

• Strong understanding of basic accounting concepts

• Familiarity with normal account balances (Debit/Credit)

• Understanding of account balances and classifications

• Knowledge of financial statements:

o Balance Sheet

o Profit & Loss (P&L)

• Ability to analyze and provide insights on significant fluctuations in Balance Sheet and P&L accounts



Conceptual Knowledge

• Understanding of Accrued Expenses (definition and application)

• Knowledge of contra asset accounts (at least 3 examples)



Bank Reconciliation Expertise

• Ability to explain the end-to-end bank reconciliation process (start to finish)

• Experience handling multiple bank accounts

• Exposure to multi-currency or foreign bank accounts
