Responsibilities
- Ship AI-powered, data-driven features and experiences grounded in PlayOn’s sports data
- Build, maintain, and improve backend services and APIs using C# .NET, Python, and SQL
- Design and evolve data schemas that serve both traditional application code and LLM-driven access patterns
- Connect LLMs to Postgres, Snowflake, and internal APIs via retrieval, tool use, and semantic search
- Establish evaluation and observability practices for AI features to ensure accuracy and detect regressions
- Optimize PostgreSQL workloads, including query performance, indexing, and database health
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience in backend web application development
- Experience building production features backed by LLMs (RAG, semantic/vector search, or tool use)
