The Project Accountant supports the financial management of construction projects by partnering closely with Project Managers to ensure accurate budgeting, forecasting, invoicing, and cost tracking.
Responsibilities
- Perform detailed variance analysis for projects on a monthly basis to ensure projects remain on budget, or strategize ways to improve profitability together with the Project Managers.
- Hold monthly meetings with Project Managers to determine monthly invoicing requirements and support AR to ensure invoices are received timely.
- Assist in preparing compliance documentation, including collection of waivers, certificates of insurance, bonding, etc.
- Review construction contracts and ensure project is accurately set‑up in the system, including contract value, costs, division, branch, etc.
- Import quotes from quoting software into ERP.
