We are looking for a Senior Power Electronics Engineer to join our Research team. The role will involve:
Leading an electronics research project whilst mentoring graduates and other engineers.Researching emerging technologies through technical papers, patents, supplier engagement and collaboration with external partners.Designing, simulating, building and testing demonstration rigs and prototype systems to assess the feasibility of new technologies and products.Developing power electronic systems including motor drives, battery management systems, power supplies, chargers, heater control systems and other power conversion architectures.Selecting and evaluating power semiconductors, magnetic components and passive components to optimise cost, size, efficiency and performance.Developing simulation models and correlating predicted behaviour against measured laboratory results.Conducting t...
