Job Tasks and Responsibilities

We are seeking a Senior Mining Engineer to join our planning team. Reporting to the Technical Services Superintendent, the key role responsibilities include:

  • Provide technical guidance for all relevant dig/doze/dump activities.

  • Optimise and prepare production schedules for short term implementation (2 weeks) and ensuring alignment with mid term scheduling (12 weeks).

  • Preparation of Stage plans and delivery of the 12 week plan on a monthly basis

  • Work closely with the Mining department, being proactive in identifying issues, monitoring outcomes and providing solutions.

  • Work with other members of the mine planning team to ensure cohesion and alignment between planning horizons to achieve short term and budget objectives.

    • Skills and Experience

  • A tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or related discipline (Civil, Geology, Survey)
