Job Responsibilities Primary Responsibilities and Duties (80%)
- Receive laboratory specimens through the main Pneumatic Tube delivery system and over the counter, and reject those that are unsuitable for analysis.
- Operate the Laboratory Information System to perform functions such as order entry (only if required), sample receipt, result query and result entry.
- Sort and arrange specimens in collection bins for different sections and dispatch samples to the correct benches. Perform simple processing and sorting.
- Manage specimen movement for in-house and send‑out tests. Ensure specimens are packed according to the test catalogue for send‑out tests.
- Receive and respond to enquiries from customers at reception and escalated to suitable personnel when they are unclear.
- Perform laboratory tests, performing all procedures in accordance with laboratory protocols.
