Senior Manager, Governance and Controls

Supports the business/group leader in implementing, maintaining and administering first line of defense (1st LOD) programs, including operational risk, AML, compliance, regulatory, etc., ensuring adherence and efficiency across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Makes recommendations to senior leaders on strategy and new initiatives based on an in-depth understanding of the business/group.
• Acts as a subject matter expert on relevant regulations and policies.
• Acts as a strategic partner to integrate program elements into overall business/group strategies and drive business impact.
• Prepares and briefs senior leaders on regulatory matters across multiple businesses and groups.
• Supports multiple, similar business units with moderate complexity and business transaction risk.
