Senior Hydrotechnical Engineer (Open Channel Hydraulics)

Work on some of Canada’s most complex flood and water systems with the flexibility to expand your influence within a large, collaborative consulting environment.

This role is designed for an experienced hydraulic modeller who seeks exposure to complex, meaningful work while still engaging in hands‑on technical tasks.

As part of WSP, the world’s largest engineering and professional services consultancy, you will focus on Prairie and Northern Canada where flat-slope flooding, ice‑affected systems, climate variability, and large, interconnected watersheds present significant engineering challenges.

Your Impact

• Provide technical leadership on advanced hydraulic modelling for complex Prairie and Northern basins (including the Red, Assiniboine, Saskatchewan, and Mackenzie systems).
• Develop, review, and validate 1D/2D hydraulic and flood models using tools such as HEC-RAS 2D, MIKE FLOOD / MIKE 21...
