Senior Estimator – Responsibilities
Confidently lead a team through the completion of a bid process for larger and complicated projects (scope definition, risk profiling, division of work among team members, facilitate and lead executive review meetings).
Review drawings and tender documents to understand scope of work and submission requirements.
Assemble accurate, timely, and well‑organized estimates, including hard‑bid, construction management and design‑build.
Prepare reports and lead executive bid review meetings.
Review schedule for accuracy and determine production rates.
Contact subcontractors and vendors for specific divisions to obtain external pricing.
Negotiate subcontractor and vendor pricing.
Resolve cost discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
Organize sub‑contractor quotes when the bid is successful, re‑write binders and assist the buy‑out process.
