Senior Electrical Engineering Lead – Lunar Cryocooler System

The Electrical Engineering Lead for the Lunar Cryocooler System will lead the Avionics and Motor Control system for the Zero Boil Off Cryocooler, enabling hydrogen as a storable propellant and supporting Blue Origin’s permanent lunar presence. The role requires planning, setting technical standards, and guiding a team of high‑performing avionics engineers to deliver space‑rated avionics within technical, cost, and schedule constraints.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver the space‑rated avionics sub‑system to the cryocooler, including requirements development, design, testing, system integration, verification planning, execution, and lab leadership.
