Join ILM Vancouver as a Senior Effects Technical Director, contributing to captivating feature animation. This hybrid role leverages your Houdini expertise to create stunning FX elements across diverse projects.
In this position, you'll work independently to design and implement FX animation, procedural simulations, and dynamic systems with supervision. With at least five years of VFX experience and a keen aesthetic sense, your skills will help realize both stylized and photoreal visuals. You will also mentor junior artists and manage data throughout the production pipeline.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design FX animations and fluid systems using Houdini
• Light and manage complex shots with team communication
• Provide accurate time estimates for shot workflows
