Senior Director, Strategy and Planning

The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, Communications (“MD”), the Senior Director Strategy and Planning (“SD”) is a key leadership position at the Bank of Canada, acting as an expert advisor to the MD, while serving as a key contributor to setting and implementing the Bank’s strategic direction.

The position directly advises the MD and stakeholders on strategy, planning, priority setting and progress measurement, while taking into consideration internal and external factors, business objectives, and mandates.

Able to deftly navigate across a complex group of stakeholders, the SD plays a critical role in aligning the organization with the overall corporate direction by leading an effective internal communications function.
