This QLD regional council is seeking an experienced Senior Development Engineer to join their Development Engineering team. This role is responsible for providing specialist engineering assessment, technical advice and support to ensure development applications and construction works comply with relevant legislation, Council standards and policies.
Key Responsibilities
Development Assessment & Technical Advice
- Assess complex development applications and prepare accurate, timely reports and recommendations in accordance with delegated authority.
- Provide expert engineering advice, technical guidance and support to internal stakeholders, developers, consultants and the broader community.
- Interpret and apply relevant legislation, engineering standards, policies and development requirements to achieve compliant outcomes.
- Analyse complex engineering matters and provide practical, risk-based solutions.
