Overview

Senior Counsel – Labour and Employment will provide legal counsel to Air Canada’s Labour and Employment team in Montreal, supporting a wide range of labor and employment matters.

Responsibilities

• Represent Air Canada in litigation and labor relations arbitration before the Canada Industrial Relations Board, the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal, and provincial counterparts.
• Draft and review correspondence, hearing materials, briefs, witness statements, motion records, and settlement documents.
• Respond to inquiries, complaints, and grievances by gathering and reviewing required information.
• Advise on collective bargaining and support negotiation teams to reach favorable agreements.
• Provide general labor-related advice to internal clients.
• Develop training materials and deliver training to internal clients on labor, employment, and human rights topics.
