Senior Character Designer (6 months contract)

The Senior Character Designer conceives and leads the creation of new avatars from the ground up (including the identity, backstory, emotional register, visual world). This role owns how the avatars look, move, and express themselves. Directs the full visual pipeline from concept art through animation to marketplace skins. Works with an external production studio to develop assets and aligns with internal narrative teams to ensure the characters feel right in our software. This creative leadership role helps set the vision for specific avatar companion characters and their visual identity.

Character conception: Define new companion avatars—who they are, their identity, backstory, emotional signature, worldview, role in the user’s life, and aesthetic world.
