Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and document reporting requirements.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications for data and reporting solutions.
- Design, build, and maintain curated SQL views and other consumption-layer objects in Snowflake to serve as the certified, reporting-ready data source for PowerBI.
- Develop and optimize SQL transformations that shape raw and modeled data into analytics-ready structures, such as star-schema views, aggregate views, and reusable business logic.
- Establish and enforce view naming standards, layering conventions, and version control so the reporting estate remains consistent, maintainable, and well documented.
- Tune Snowflake views and queries for performance and cost efficiency, applying techniques such as clustering, materialized views, and query optimization.
