We are seeking a Senior API Engineer to help develop and operate an omnichannel API platform supporting a large Australian retailer. The platform enables consistent digital experiences across web, mobile, and in-store channels.

This is a hands-on engineering role focused on building reliable, scalable APIs using , TypeScript, GraphQL, REST, and AWS. You will contribute to technical design, application development, infrastructure-as-code, production support, and the ongoing improvement of the platform.

Key responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain APIs within a GraphQL-based omnichannel platform
  • Build reliable backend services using and TypeScript
  • Design and evolve GraphQL schemas while following established schema governance and API standards
  • Develop and maintain AWS infrastructure using AWS CDK and TypeScript
  • Work with AWS services including ECS, Fargate, VPC, Application Load Balancer, CloudWatch, ...
