Job Description

The Legal Counsel provides legal advice and guidance to the company on matters such as corporate governance, legal developments, and compliance requirements. The role ensures that business units are compliant with relevant laws and regulations, assists in implementing best corporate governance practices, and provides corporate secretarial assistance for meetings and filings.

The Legal Counsel keeps the Group informed of updates in laws and regulations, engages with regulators and special interest groups on corporate governance matters, coordinates with various stakeholders and government agencies for transactions, and ensures timely preparation of necessary documents.

The Legal Counsel is involved in people development, overseeing paralegals, mentoring the team, and participating in performance management.
