Role Summary

Senior AI Data Architect / Solution Engineer – BMC Software, Lisbon. This full‑time on‑site role focuses on designing scalable data architecture that powers trusted data and AI products. The position supports remote work in Portugal as needed.

Responsibilities

• Design the reference architecture and delivery patterns for governed data from the semantic layer to downstream consumers (dashboards, applications, AI agents).
• Architect and build the Data Agent, a natural‑language interface that lets business users query governed data without writing SQL, including agentic workflows with orchestration, tool/function calling, retrieval, evaluation, and guardrails.
• Co‑design the semantic layer (HoneyDew / DBT), defining metrics, dimensions, and governed business meaning to ensure agents query governed definitions rather than raw tables.
