Responsibilities
- Coordinates the preparation of the annual budget
- Prepares year-to-date financial reports
- Prepares journal entries and reconciliations
- Assists with preparation of monthly financial statements and reviews same
- Variance analysis of monthly general ledger and financial statements
- Maintains year-end audit schedules
- Prepares annual returns
- Completes GST returns semi-annually
- Other assignments as directed by the Manager, Finance
Qualifications
- Completion of Post-secondary education
- Two to five years financial accounting, auditing and/or budgeting experience
- Strong analytical, research, problem solving and resolution abilities
- Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, lookup functions)
