About the Opportunity

Under the direction of the Manager, Finance the Financial Analyst coordinates the preparation of the annual agency budget.

Responsibilities

• Assists Managers in budget submissions to regional governments.
• Prepares year‑to‑date financial reports.
• Prepares journal entries and reconciliations.
• Prepares Annual Grants utilization report for regional government.
• Assists with preparation of monthly financial statements and reviews same.
• Variance analysis of monthly general ledger and financial statements.
• Revenue recognition, funds analysis and complete government documents.
• Maintains year‑end audit schedules.
• Reconciles agency’s investments monthly and annual reconciliation.
• Prepares annual returns (e.g., Charity Information Return, etc.).
• Completes GST returns semi‑annually.
