We’re looking for compassionate, confident SEN Teaching Assistants to join secondary schools across Barnet this September. If you’re the kind of person who instinctively knows when a student needs space, support, or just someone to sit alongside them—you’ll fit right in.
Whether you’ve worked in schools before or supported young people in other settings, your empathy and ability to build trust are what count.
What you'll be doing:
Providing tailored support to pupils with a range of needs (autism, SEMH, ADHD, and more)
Helping students feel safe, included, and ready to learn
Working 1:1 or in small groups, guided by the school’s SEN team
Collaborating with staff to adapt lessons and routines so every pupil can succeed
