Security Lieutenant (Santiago)

Org. Setting and Reporting

Under the overall command of the Chief of Service, the Lieutenant will perform armed security functions and will report directly to the Security Inspector. The Lieutenant will supervise the Sergeants and/or Security Officers ensuring the efficient running of overall security operations.

• Assists the Inspector to conceptualize and develop new ECLAC security standard operating procedures and contingency plans and will replace the Inspector when off duty.
• Organizes and manages the activities and operations of the Unit as required.
• Inspects line-ups of officers to ensure that they are properly attired, equipped and knowledgeable of the daily security requirements.
• Assigns officers to areas and maintains contact with supervisory personnel and officers.
