The role:

To provide leadership and direction to achieve HSE, cost and volume performance in his / her area of responsibility, through the effective co‑ordination of all the production processes (inclusive of topsoil stripping, drilling and blasting activities, dragline exposure operations, truck and shovel operations, coal load and haul operations, pit dewatering and rehabilitation).

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• Execute the policies, procedures and safe practices required to mine safely in his / her area of responsibility
• Formulation and ownership of the short- and medium‑term production plans to achieve mine targets
