Scheduling and Attendance Coordinator – Full-Time

We are seeking a permanent full‑time Scheduling and Attendance Coordinator for Extendicare Medex, a 193‑bed home located in Ottawa, Ontario. The coordinator reports to the Operations Manager and oversees work schedules and time‑and‑attendance for all LTC facility employees to ensure smooth operations and quality resident care.

Key Responsibilities

• Actively assign work schedules and maintain staffing schedules for all departments using the Workday Scheduling System.
• Manage vacant schedules caused by employee absences, vacation requests, LOAs, and terminations.
• Schedule staff coverage for unfilled shifts by coordinating with employees and staffing agencies, using the Call Multiplier tool.
• Validate and reconcile scheduled hours worked, capture accurate time blocks, and submit validated hours to payroll.
