Job Description
Role: Saw Operator. Objectives: Fabrication of material for roofing applications. Produces cut material by operating a sliding panel saw; interprets shop drawings; maintains quality and safety standards; keeps records; maintains equipment. The Saw Operator reports directly to the Production Supervisor.
Job Responsibilities
- Prepares orders by cutting various types of insulation based on cut lists and shop drawings using a sliding panel saw; ensures accuracy and quality of orders
- Pulls materials, packs, wraps, labels pallets, and places materials in the staging area
- Verifies quality by measuring pieces; adheres to quality assurance procedures and processes
- Maintains equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements and following maintenance guidelines
