Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and submit accurate claims to insurance companies and government payers
- Verify accuracy of billing codes including CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10
- Monitor claim status and resolve denials, discrepancies, and appeals
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and federal/state billing regulations
Requirements
- 1-3 years of medical billing experience, preferably in home health
- Strong knowledge of home health billing codes and insurance guidelines
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and billing software
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in medical billing and coding (CPC, CPB)
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field
