Resident Support Worker

Job Description

This position provides basic needs and guidance to men who find themselves homeless by offering a positive, respectful, and safe environment. Staff support each person by encouraging healthy life skills and choices, helping them move back into the community and out of the shelter system. *This is a day shift position.*

Accountabilities

1. Resident/Program Support:

   Handles admission, orientation, and evaluation of residents per policies, procedures, and guidelines. Conducts resident intake interviews, records information, sets expectations, and establishes basic goals.

   Monitors traffic, verifies identification, and follows safety protocols. Liaises with Spiritual and Religious Care team members, internal referral sources, and external agencies as needed.

   Maintains records on resident medication, tools, and gear. Performs light housekeeping, provides linens, and assists residents as required.
