Overview
CIDETEC Energy Storage is looking for a researcher to join the Energy Materials Unit, covering needs of strategic projects carried out in the Pilot Plant. The role focuses on the entire battery value chain, from chemistry to final application, with emphasis on technology transfer to industry.
Responsibilities
The researcher will work in the Pilot Plant, implementing new processes and techniques for the manufacture of electrodes and lithium‑ion cells. Core tasks include:
- Ink processing and knife and slot die coating.
- Manufacture of electrodes for batteries and manufacture of cells.
- Electrochemical characterisation.
- Maintenance and set‑up of machinery.
- Design of coupling systems for new machinery.
- Battery manufacturing: keeping records and traceability of materials.
- Maintaining and improving quality of systems.
