Research and Extension Assistant 1

Organizational Structure

This role reports to the Institute for Sustainable Food Systems Director.

Summary

The Research and Extension Assistant 1 will support applied research projects and extension programs under the supervision and direction of the Research and Extension Program Manager and research associate(s).

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in research and extension projects
• Assist in the preparation of reports and other documents as required
• Attend research and extension team meetings and stakeholder meetings as required
• Provide support to KPU Farm Schools and other extension events as required
• Any other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• An interest in learning more about British Columbia’s food systems
• An interest in small‑scale, regenerative agriculture
• Ability to use basic office technologies (e.g., Microsoft Office) effectively and to adapt to new...
