Position Summary
The Pharmacy Technician will report to the Pharmacy Manager and is responsible for the accurate and timely receipt, preparation, and delivery of pharmaceutical prescriptions. The role includes maintaining appropriate inventory levels, counseling patients, providing customer service, managing costs, training colleagues, and delivering clinical services within scope.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, dispense and control medications accurately and timely.
- Ensure medication and over‑the‑counter supplement inventory levels meet patients’ needs.
- Provide counseling of patients regarding new and additional medications.
- Create awareness and educate customers through public relations events (public health days, clinics, etc.).
- Resolve patients’ needs and doctors’ requests or issues in a timely manner.
- Review and control costs at all levels within Loblaw Pharmacy.
